View and Modify Sample Policies

This screen allows you to view and modify the supplied sample policy statement.

• Review the supplied sample policy statements. There is one for every paragraph of the standard.
• After reviewing, copy and modify each policy statement to reflect the unique requirements of your organization.
• These supplied, pre-written policy statements will provide a method to address each element of  BS-7799 and save you many hours of time.

  Record Implementation Evidence

This screen allows you to document support evidence that the policy statement has been implemented.

• Document your supporting evidence that the policy has been implemented or what actions are taken.
• Enter the identification where this is recorded (from number)
• Select the owner of this evidence (from the employees screen)
• Select the department where the evidence is maintained (from the department screen)

Document Control

This screen allows you to record the following information concerning each policy:

• The policy author and date written
• Who reviewed the policy and when
• The date and person who approved the policy
• Owner of policy
• Department that is responsible for the policy
• Current revision of policy
• Policy revision (if applicable) that current document supersedes
• Date policy was released
• Policy status
• Indicator that this screen is complete

• 3 cross references to other document
• 2 cross references to other IT policies
• This cross referencing allows for easier understanding of the standards and your policies
